Privacy Notice
This notice describes what information Nero Black Coffee collects when you visit this site or place an order, and how we use it. Plain-English version: we collect what we need to ship you coffee, nothing more, and we don't sell anything to anyone.
What we collect
When you place an order on this site, we collect:
- Your name, shipping address, email, and phone number, used to fulfill and ship your order, and to contact you about it if needed.
- Order details: which coffees you bought, sizes, quantities, and any notes you added at checkout.
- The PayPal transaction ID issued when you pay.
We do not store your credit card or PayPal credentials. PayPal handles payment directly; we only see the transaction confirmation.
Cookies and storage
The shop uses your browser's local storage to remember the contents of your cart between visits, and (briefly) to preserve a captured order if our notification service is temporarily unreachable. No tracking cookies, no analytics. The site loads PayPal's payment SDK from paypal.com when you reach checkout. PayPal sets its own cookies for fraud prevention; see PayPal's privacy statement for details.
Who we share it with
We share order details with:
- PayPal, to process your payment.
- The shipping carrier (USPS or similar) so they can deliver the package.
- Web3Forms, the third-party service we use to email order notifications to ourselves. They process the form submission and forward it to our inbox; they do not retain or sell the data.
That's it. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything besides fulfilling your order.
How long we keep it
Order records (in our PayPal dashboard and inbox) are kept indefinitely for tax and accounting purposes. You can ask us to anonymize or delete your records at any time; see the contact section below.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what we have on file about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your records (we'll keep an anonymized order summary for tax purposes only).
